Safeway - Your Trusted Grocery Store in San Francisco

This Safeway is getting safer these days, if they only would hire few more tough security guards the better for us paying customers. Wish they carry fresher meats and more choices. Didn’t have grounded pork. The aisles are cleaner, better stocked. I also like the security gate than you scan with a paid receipt to exit, lot less stealing. Good job Safeway.

This is my local Safeway, so I do most of my grocery shopping here. The staff is always friendly and helpful, which I really appreciate. My only suggestion would be to consider extending the closing hours. I’ve noticed a lot of people (myself included!) rushing in right before 9 PM, and it can feel a bit hectic for both customers and employees. Otherwise, it’s a great store and convenient for the neighborhood.

I was having issues at the self checkout.. Luckily Jenaeah was there to help me!! I had no clue what was going on and I was calling my card to see what happened with it and she offered to help me and knew exactly what to do and was Super friendly and helped me quickly, which was nice because I was there with my toddler son and he was done shopping & I was done shopping, haha!! Safeway has some Great deals for member savings. I really like the app and using my points for money off purchases or free items.

Great location for the downtown area of San Francisco, due to being on the path of public transit just off Market Street. The bakery really knows how to show there fresh pastries, bagles & donuts! It was tasty & delicious! Support the emplyees that make that happen with a greeting and a smile.

Clean, bright, lots of staff. Everything almost is on offer. The fresh sushi is absolutely excellent and a great price. Delicious every time. Great deli, bakery and meat & seafood counters. And the produce is really fresh and well priced.

every time i've used them since it has gone over without a hitch. well done, safeway folks. i'll keep the orders coming.
